Welcome to the 2nd BrainGain Sweden Innovation Meeting



We would like to invite you to the 2nd BrainGain Sweden Innovation Meeting in Gothenburg, VGR Campus Nya Varvet, on 6-7 September, 2018.

The meeting will focus on innovations in the field of aging brain, in particular those related to stroke, Alzheimer’s disease, and Parkinson's disease. The aim of the meeting is to bring together preclinical and clinical researchers, biotech and pharma industry and representatives of funding bodies to present and discuss innovations that address the challenges posed by brain disease and aging. The meeting will provide an excellent opportunity to network and form new partnerships across the different sectors. All attendees will have several opportunities to actively participate by giving presentations, engage in discussions and by networking.

If you wish to give an oral presentation, please send a short informal abstract to Poster boards will also be available close to the mingling and coffee break area.

Generous contributions from our sponsors have made it possible for us to offer the meeting including registration fee, lunch, dinner, get-together and two coffee breaks for free. There is a possibility to book hotel accommodation adjacent to the conference premises for 650 SEK plus VAT /night.

For those who are not yet familiar with BrainGain Sweden: The BrainGain Sweden mission (see is to aid the development of innovative treatments for disorders of the aging and diseased brain as a result of national and international partnerships between key players in academia, healthcare, industry, authorities and patient organizations. BrainGain Sweden is a hub that ties these key players together and aims to develop products for diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the aging brain.

Currently BrainGain Sweden links the Swedish Universities, numerous healthcare providers, biotech and pharma companies, investors, non-profit foundations focusing on brain health, and patient organizations in the field of stroke, AD, PD and the aging brain.

BrainGain Sweden is connected to a majority of the research and training programs that are ongoing in the fields of neuroscience, neurology and neurorehabilitation in Sweden, both at the universities and in the health care sector.
