Welcome to the symposium Working Together
Artistic research is multidisciplinary and collaborative in character. It covers a large number of art forms and research fields – all with their own needs and prerequisites. This year’s symposium on artistic research is about collaboration. What does it mean to conduct research in or between subjects and disciplines?
During the symposium more than 20 projects will be presented (see session schedule), opening up for deeper discussions about the opportunities and challenges involved in collaboration.
What frictions may arise as a result of factors such as hierarchies, differing evaluation criteria, or differing demands on how the research is made public? Which investigations are best done within separate subjects and disciplines? And when are interdisciplinary, transdisciplinary or multidisciplinary working formats and perspectives the most fruitful? These are some of the issues that will be discussed during the symposium.
Collaboration between researchers is also closely linked to the issue of the value of strong and dynamic research environments. How should these environments be designed to create favourable conditions for artistic research?
The symposium will be held in both English and Swedish.
Links to the webinar will be sent to everyone who is signing up.
