You have probably seen the Volvo Trucks Epic Split ad, where Jean-Claude van Damme performs one of his trademark splits between two Volvo trucks going in reverse. But did you know how the idea was born? And that it was only one part of a series of ads called the Live Test Series, all based on a very close collaboration between engineers and creatives?
In this inspiration session, we feature the creative Björn Engström, a seasoned professional in the advertising industry and board member of several startups. Along with Susanna Glenndahl Thorslund, innovation manager at MobilityXlab, he will discuss the close collaboration process between engineers and creatives in developing The Epic Split and how to communicate innovation in a creative, engaging, and cost-efficient way in a global digital landscape.

Since becoming the fourth co-owner of Forsman & Bodenfors in 1988, he has been involved in developing the agency into an international communication group. After 34 years at the agency, he is now focusing on board assignments helping companies to grow in a broad range of businesses like fashion, packaging, life science, and digital marketing.
