9.20 Mingel with Scania
10.00 Thank you!
Are you working with software, maybe it’s time for some inspiration and competence development?
Join us for a breakfast discussing how Scania with help of Open Source and Cloud Adoption brings transparency and collaboration into a traditionally conservative industry.
Scania is driving the shift to sustainable transport, challenging both itself and others to develop solutions that enable us to reach global sustainability. Collaboration across the industry is key in this work.
Opportunities and challenges
Let's start by listening to Jonas Öberg, Scania's Open Source Officer, talking about how IT solutions are increasingly developed using open source at Scania, what opportunities this brings to not only collaborate with others but also unlock the collaboration between internal teams. Of course, there are also challenges: legislative and regulatory mechanisms are designed to assign responsibility individually to OEMs like Scania. Can OEMs meet legislative and regulatory demands, when 98% of its software delivery is sourced from third party, many of whom the OEMs have no relation to at all? The answer is a tentalizing "uhmm...", with the journey to be told filled of equal amounts of YAY and NAY.
How we work with the Cloud
We will continue the breakfast with Janne Pihlajamaa, who is a Product Owner for the AWS Foundation team and the Cloud Security Team at Scania Cloud Adoption, Scania's Cloud Centre of Excellence. He will bring you along Scania's cloud journey and how we use cloud to enable speed and global reach for DevOps teams. He will let you in on how we address security and cost risks to become continuously security compliant and cost optimized in Scania's cloud journey and how we onboard teams to cloud.
Join us for a breakfast and learn how this all works for us and get some insight about how it can work for you!
