The next step in veterinary dentistry following having learned to perform extractions, is to preserve teeth. For periodontal unhealthy teeth, you can do a lot more than cleaning up the periodontal pocket. Simple surgical procedures can support the treatment of periodontal disease in dogs. Also, many patients present with uncomplicated crown fractures, that should be treated by a sealing or restoration. This will also be taught in this course. Finally, for fresh complicated fractures or malocclusions, a partial pulpectomy can be the solution. This procedure is also trained in this module
