Welcome to a RECOVER cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Rescuer certification course!
This one-day course will show the best way to treat animals in cardiopulmonary arrest. The course will be given at two dates; March 6th or March 7th. Choose which date you wish to participate when register below.

TARGET GROUP OCH COURSE LANGUAGE 
Veterinarians, nurses and technicians interested in CPR. The course will be held in English.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
This one-day course with workshops will teach the concepts and techniques of RECOVER Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS).
Human medical professionals certify in human CPR. Veterinary medical professionals should certify themselves in veterinary CPR!
Participants must have successfully completed the RECOVER online BLS and ALS courses. The online course can be found at recoverinitiative.org and will be offered at a 30% discount to participants of the workshop. To be a certified RECOVER BLS/ALS Rescuer you need to take the online RECOVER BLS and ALS course followed by this onsite, hands-on training course. Successful completion of this course grants certification as a RECOVER BLS and ALS Rescuer.

Basic Life Support Certification 
Participants will receive a review of core concepts in RECOVER BLS and have an opportunity to apply these concepts through scenarios using canine mannequins. Practice scenarios include single rescuer BLS and two rescuer BLS, with and without intubation. The session concludes with a practical assessment resulting in certification as a RECOVER Certified BLS Rescuer upon passing.

Advanced Life Support Certification
Participants will review core concepts in RECOVER ALS through scenario-based immersive simulation. The scenarios will provide the opportunity to apply concepts in patient monitoring, use of drugs, defibrillation, and the decision-making process of appropriate interventions during CPR. The session concludes with a team-based practical assessment resulting in certification as a RECOVER Certified ALS Rescuer upon passing.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the end of this workshop the course participants will:

  • Have the tools and competency to do a high quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) of dogs and catsBe
  • Be a RECOVER Certified BLS/ALS Rescuer

LECTURE NOTES   
This workshop focuses on practical training, based on the online courses on RECOVER Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS). There will not be additional lecture notes provided, so please arrive prepared.

COURSE FEE
Tuition fee 480 Euro excl VAT (EUR 600 incl VAT). Meals are included. Participants must have successfully completed the RECOVER online BLS and ALS courses. The online course can be found at recoverinitiative.org and will be offered at a 30% discount to participants of the workshop.
